After losing to the Pelicans on Tuesday, the Rockets will attempt to end a three-game losing streak against the Miami Heat on Thursday. Following their six-game win streak, the Rockets have struggled on both ends of the floor. But none more so than their defense. While losing four out of their last five games, the Rockets have recorded a 112.3 defensive rating during the midst of their slump.
For the Heat, the defending Eastern Conference Champion comes into tonight’s game winners of three straight. During their last contest, the Heat recorded a 98-96 victory over the New York Knicks. Texas native Jimmy Butler led the way with 26 points (6-15 FG, 13-15 FT), 10 assists and eight rebounds in the win. Kelly Olynyk added in 20 points shooting 75 percent (6-8 3PT) from behind the arc.

Coty and I have swapped this game, so you’ll get me and TNT for the thread and recap. Let’s hope the Rockets can put forth a better effort.
