The Rockets head into their third meeting with the San Antonio Spurs with their best player, Christian Wood, out for an indefinite length of time with a nasty rolled ankle. Fortunately there wasn’t further damage than a sprain, but as people who know more about this stuff will tell you, a sprain IS damage. It appears we’ve found Wood’s Achilles Heel, but it turns out to be his ankle.
It could just be bad luck, as he landed on someone’s foot, which seems to be the number one cause of very nasty ankle sprains in the NBA.
Tonight the Rockets should have both John Wall and Victor Oladipo, and Boogie Cousins will be in the starting center role, most likely. He’s played better as a starter, in his minutes with John Wall, than as a backup.
The Rockets are without Christian Wood, and of course, Dante Exum, who’s never available, even if you wanted him to be. David Nwaba isn’t listed on the injury report, so he may play.
For San Antonio Lamarcus Aldridge is out, which means you don’t have to listen to me complain about his whole game essentially being based on a pushoff move, and just how ugly and disappointing that game is. Lonnie Walker IV and Dejounte Murray are day-to-day, so we’ll see if they play.

Dallas doesn’t think you’re funny, ok. She’s annoyed with you, as usual.
