The Rockets shot 4-45 from 3 last night. That won’t happen again.
Hopefully.
Houston played Cleveland the other night, with the Cavaliers winning 112-96. The Rockets will look to flip the result in order to avoid a 12-game losing streak. In the first matchup, the Rockets had no answer for Jarrett Allen (26 points and 18 rebounds). Houston was outrebounded by 28, and with Justin Patton still getting major minutes, that looks to continue tonight.
Things are looking bleak, and with Christian Wood’s return still a little ways off and John Wall probably missing tonight’s game due to load management, the Rockets are in for another blowout loss. Maybe not a “shot 4-45 from deep” blowout loss, but a blowout nevertheless.
It’s a rough time to be a Rockets fan. After years of being spoiled by James Harden, we’re in the darkest ages of Rockets fandom. Houston is in a tough spot, as they don’t have complete control over their first round pick. Still, it appears that the tank has been activated, even though the Rockets and Stephen Silas are clearly trying to win games.
Tip-off is at 8pm CT on AT&T SportsNet Southwest
