Houston Rockets (11-23) vs. Utah Jazz (27-9), March 12, 2021, 9 p.m. CST
Location: Vivint SmartHome Arena, SLC
TV: AT&T SportsNet
Radio: SportsTalk790
Online: Rockets App
Projected Starting Lineups
Rockets: Just going to guess, here. Jae’Sean Tate, Kevin Porter Jr., Sterling Brown, Justin Patton, and... Kenyon Martin Jr. The bench is...Ben McLemore, Anthony Lamb, and Mason Jones if he caught a flight in. So that’s eight, I guess.
Jazz: Mike Conley, Donovan Mitchell, Bogdan Son of Bogdan, Royce O’Neil, NBA Patient Zero.
Out:
Rockets: (get ready, go!)
Christian Wood - (ankle), PJ Tucker (Sulking), Dante Exum (BDE Syndrome -Being Dante Exum), Eric Gordon (groined), John Wall (knee something), Victor Oladipo (emotional fragility), Danuel House (knee), Rodion Kurucs (knee?), David Nwaba (wrist). Wow. 9.
Jazz: Udoka Uzbuike, and Trent Forrest whomever they might be.
This is certainly a study in contrasts. The Jazz are having perhaps their best season ever, and have remained, unlike previous seasons, remarkably healthy.
The Rockets are having their worst season in at least two decades, and currently have nine players out. Nine. They may JUST have enough players to field a team tonight. Not that the result is in much doubt.
Tonight should be a parade for Utah, as the Rockets will be starting almost no one anyone outside Houston might even consider to be an NBA starter, and quite possibly the lowest (proportionate) payroll to take the floor in the NBA in modern times. It also might be the least experienced. It truly could be.
Anyhow, expect the Jazz to roll. This is a big day for them.
