After grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory last night, the Houston Rockets will look to repeat the feat tonight as they face off once again with the last-place Minnesota Timberwolves.
With Detroit and Orlando losing at home last night, it was imperative that the Rockets find a way to lose. The losses also help because they are bringing the Timberwolves back to the pack and not allowing Minny to run away with the top spot, so to speak.
Once again, this is not a fun thing to write about. But it’s what Houston’s season has become.
After tonight, Houston still has a game at Orlando and at home against these same Timberwolves. Other than those games, Houston will almost assuredly be solid underdogs in their other games. It hurts, but the Rockets might need another 20-game losing streak to keep those teams off their backs.
We saw the Timberwolves last night. I hope you remember all their players. As of this writing, there’s no news on Kelly Olynyk or Avery Bradley’s statuses.
Tip-off is at 7pm CT on AT&T SportsNet Southwest
