Worst teams in the league play an important game tonight

Rockets vs. Timberwolves Game Thread

NBA: Houston Rockets at Minnesota Timberwolves Jesse Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

So, you thought the worst team in the Western Conference, already eliminated from playoff contention with 11 games left in the season, had nothing to play for, did ya?

Well, you thought wrong.

Tonight’s game featuring the Houston Rockets versus the Minnesota Timberwolves features a battle of the two worst teams in the West and the two statistically worst teams in the league. And with the Rockets only two-and-a-half games back of the T-Wolves in the standings, this is a real opportunity to create some separation and stay a bottom-three team in the league and keep some good lottery odds..

Man, what the hell are we even talking about here? Just a few years ago, the Rockets were a game away from the NBA Finals.

ANYHOO. As we all know by now, John Wall is out for the season with a hamstring strain. But there’s plenty of reason to watch tonight’s game with exciting players Christian Wood and Kevin Porter Jr. hitting the floor. This is also Rockets fans’ last chance to see one of the most exciting players in the league, Anthony Edwards, do his thing. Boy, does he have some of the best dunks of the season so far.

Some questions for you to answer before and during tonight’s game. Who losses the matchup tonight? Does a win here even excite you? Does Edwards dunk on someone? Who leads the Rockets in scoring?

Answer that below and follow the game along, here, live in the game thread!

Last, but never least, LET’S GO, ROCKETS!
