There’s been some major trade rumors this offseason surrounding NBA stars Damian Lillard and Ben Simmons, though neither one has been moved at this point, nor have we heard about any legitimate offers potentially being on the table.
But we asked our national voters how they felt about the likelihood of these guys being dealt, and here’s what you all had to say.

I was a little surprised by the vast disparity in these poll results. So while I do think Daryl Morey certainly has the gunslinger, wheeling and dealing reputation, rumor has it that he’s looking for a James Harden-eque deal for Simmons, and with his value at a low following a horrible postseason, I just don’t see anyone biting on that until the price comes down.
Lillard will also command a high price and is certainly worth closer to a Harden-like deal than Simmons is, but the Portland Trailblazers are likely to be thoughtful about where they send Lillard.
I do think it’s more likely that Simmons gets dealt. But this was a huge gap and I think it’s a little closer than that.
We also asked a question about USA Olympic basketball. We wanted to know how many voters figured them for a gold medal following the upset loss to France earlier in July.

That sounds about right. Confidence in the squad was at an all-time low at that point. But they rebounded nicely, so congrats to the U.S. squad.
