The 23-year-old swingman played in 24 games for the Rockets last year, finishing the season averaging 5.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1 assist per game on 39 percent shooting from the field and 32.4 percent from beyond the arc. He played 17.3 minutes per contest.
Lamb also played all five games in Houston’s Summer League schedule, averaging 7.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game on 36.1 percent shooting from the floor and 33 percent from deep in 23.2 minutes per game.
Lamb likely fills out the Rockets’ training camp roster, and his two-way deal means he’ll probably be spending a fair amount of time in the G-League.
He hasn’t been great offensively with Houston, but the team likes his defense and his potential, so that’s why he’s been able to stick around.
Welcome back, Anthony Lamb!
